Tips for Using Eyeliner: How to Apply Stage Makeup

Hello! I am Monte and today on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to be talking about makeup for the stage. Now we are going to talk about applying eyeliner. Putting eyeliner on your face is an important step to helping your eyes really standout, a very important feature. Putting eyeliner on your face is very important for helping your eyes standout because your eyes are very a very expressive part of your face and there are a couple of different ways to do this. I like to pull out the skin around my eye to help stabilize and keep it from moving because the skin around your eye is very sensitive and when it is touched it can be really easy for your eyelid to flutter and you do not want that when applying eyeliner because it could make the line go askew and that is not what we want here. We want a nice steady line applied. For a more natural look just apply it on the outer half of your eye. If you want to apply eyeliner around the entirety of your eye that is fine but it will look more like makeup and not just like a natural eye. More typical for female characters to apply eyeliner around the entire eye. For males such as myself just on the outer half and that is how you apply eyeliner.
