Hello! I am Monte and today on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to be talking about makeup for the stage. Now we are going to talk about highlighting and shading around your eyes. First place to put a little bit of highlight is on the outer section of your eye right above it, as you could say, above your eye socket on the outside because even though it appears to be shaded in the sense by your eyebrow it is a portion of your face that catches light very well naturally. Let us blend it in there⦠to look smooth, take it above the edge of your eyebrow and then we are going to apply some shading deep inside your eye socket next to your eye like so and this is the natural way to apply highlight shadow based on the shape of your face, but if you want you could be applying highlighter where I am applying shadow right now if you wanted to make your eyes really standout. It is a way to make your eyes look very pretty or make your eyes look very feminine really. You can bring the shadow all the way down to where it is barely connecting with the shadow you put on your nose, actually you can combine those two together. You do not want to extend the shadow too far down under your eye otherwise, it will make you look very tired or sick or older than you might want your character to appear and that is why you highlight and shade around your eyes.
