How to Identify Replica Antiques

Hello, I'm Statia Widak and I'm from Plainville, Massachusetts and I love collecting glass. It is my hobby. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. We have this lovely vase here and it happens to be made in China. We feel it's a modern vase, it's a new vase not an old, old vase. But everyone that comes into my house, because I have all these old dishes and things, they all think it's an antique. Well as far as I know, it's a beautiful vase but it's a modern vase. It was made just recently. But they do think it's a hundred year old thing. And it is a big vase because it's about 20 some inches tall. And there's a lot of pictures on it, a lot of decorations, and it looks like there's quite a bit of gold on it too, like these handles right here looks like a lion's head handle. And over here we have some other handles. And they look like gold. So it could very well be worth some money but it's not an antique.
