De-Seed Avocados for Guacamole

Okay, I have my salsa working, I got my chips going now it's time for the guacamole. Here I got some Haas avocados and they are from Mexico. Depending on where you live they can be very seasonal, I know a lot of them come from California as well. But that is what we're using today, there's also some that come from Florida that I believe that are lower in fat. So if you're watching your fat content they have 50% lower fat, and typically have a green skin on them. So what I done I just took my knife and I went around the outside of the avocado, I'm going to twist it about a 1/4 turn, and it should pop out rather easily. Now what I'm going to do is take my spoon and scoop out the fruity part of the fleshy part of the avocado, avocado is a fruit. And now I need to remove the seed from this avocado so do to this, hold your avocado firmly with your knife I'm just going to gently place it into the seed. Be very careful that you don't do this too hard and that you don't cut yourself, we've heard several times of people doing that so you want to be careful. Now from here I'm going to hold it pretty firmly and I'm just going to twist it out, you see it pops out pretty easily. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to pop out so just be careful and I'm going to get out the fleshy part of this avocado. Okay, I'm going to do a few more avocados same way. I like to squeeze it before I scoop out the flesh and that helps to get it out just a little bit easier, it already helps to get the mushing process which is what we're going to do after we get all the stuff in there. I got another seed I'm going to pop that out ( here we go) and to remove it without hurting yourself with a knife just press on either side of knife and push it out that way you don't have to worry about struggling with a knife. Avocados are really good for you, they do have a higher fat content but it's the good fat for you so kind of keep that in mind. You don't want to eat a whole lot of it, you don't want to eat a whole avocado, but if you eat a good half of an avocado it's really good for your blood. Another trick is if you get some avocados and they're not ripe go ahead and place them in a paper bag by the next day they should be nice and ripe and ready for you to use. We got three avocados in there and that looks pretty darn good so we're just going to stick with that and that is what our avocado looks like.
