Now it's time for start of the salsa which is the jalapeño. For this recipe I'm going to go ahead and add two, if you like it spicier add in more, if you don't like it quite so spicy just then do one. I'm going to do initially I'm going to remove the stem here cause the stem is inedible and I'm just going to cut it down the center and we're going to remove the ribs. Which these are here and the seeds, but that's where a lot of the heat lies, but the seeds are very bitter and you kind of don't want those in your salsa. If you get a few in there it's not a big deal you just don't want to a whole bunch. I'm just throwing it in with the rest of my ingredients if you're going to do a lot of these if you're going to make a large batch of salsa. Then I would recommend wearing gloves and also as soon as we're done with this you want to make sure that we wash our hands to get the jalapeño oils off of our fingers. Cause then it will burn later, if you like some different flavorings this is where you can have fun with some peppers. You can add habenero peppers will be really good, you can add chipotle peppers which all that is a smoked jalapeño and that will give it a different nice smoky flavor. So you can maybe do one fresh jalapeño and a smoky chipotle or just do all chipotle, make a chipotle salsa. So have fun with the different peppers and different combinations, I got one more left awesome, and that is our jalapeño.
