What is the Role of a Bonsai Pot?
You may wonder why there are so many different kinds of bonsai pots, so many different shapes and colors and sizes and that has to do with the different sizes and shapes of trees that we put inside the pots. The bonsai pot has the analogy of freeing to a painting and that is that the bonsai pot provides a supporting role to the composition to the plant; in this case it provides a container to hold soil for the tree but we don’t want a garish or overpowering pot for a tree that takes away from the beauty of the bonsai tree itself.
