Ha ha ha ha! It is well known that most all popular DAWs with identical material sum to zero... meaning they all sound the same. If you are getting squawk, it isn't from the software. Additionally, what in the world does that have to do with head room? Head room is all about voltage and not clipping or distorting your wave form as you approach 0 db. This guy is so far off base on most everything he says it is incredible.

Great job but I would like to see more about how you hook this stuff up and the actual mixing there of. Please make more. Thank you

man you are crazy but real, thanks for the good infoe

Yeah... smash the -- out of the buss and you won't get that punch just a bunch of mud hehe... Really though I am very humored at least! This guy's awesome! But really, mixing ITB you have to really watch your levels to the output buss for sure to get that open and clean sound.

Actually, Some Floating Point Bus DAWs do sum differently, Pro Tools uses a fixed 48 bit system (From what i can remember) and Nuendo and Cubase run Floating Point 32 0r 64 bit, cant remember off the top of my head, but either way, yeah, this guy is nuts.

No please do not make more. HAHAHAHAHAHA! This guy is an idiot. I have watched every one of his videos and he is so full of misinformation and just plain bullsh#t that its no wonder he can barely for a coherent sentence. WATCH THESE VIDEOS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY! DO NOT TAKE HIS ADVICE ON ANYTHING!!!

Head Room: Tips for Recording in Your Home Music Studio

I’m Tad Donley and I’m speaking in behalf of Expert Village, about the headroom. You only have a certain amount of headroom with ProTools. If you start pushing a little bit too hard, it starts squawking like a chicken, if you go too low it starts squawking, you have to work within a certain realm, otherwise you get zapped either way, so you psychologically start bringing your headroom down lower and you do not realize it but after about 3-4 months, you got it in this place for you in the small certain limited band, you don’t have this big sound, you don’t have this sound, you can’t get the big sound. I try to get a boom out of the bass drum, in one of my albums, my CD, boom, I try to get that big boom, I could not get a big boom, I paid bucks, and could not get the boom, so, you know, and plus it is just did not sound as good and production did not sound that good, it didn’t come up, I cleaned it up on Nuendo four of the songs of my last CD, Warrior right here, four of the songs of the CD. I went ahead, remixed it and re-did it on Nuendo and now it is clear, clean, strong, big, warm, depth and good, yes.
