Hi! I am Debbie with expertvillage.com and we are still talking about hermit crabs and what we are going to talk about right now is some activities for your hermit crabs, believe it or not, hermit crabs do like to play and they need toys and activities to do that with. Crabs are excellent climbers and they need things to climb on and some excellent things for that, it is like a piece of coral. Sometime they can grab on to and hold on to, a piece of driftwood is an excellent thing and that is also really fun to watch them climb and any kind of driftwood. This is your super-duper fancy water dish and food dish, but it is also a little activity dish so they climb up and they get upon top of the trees, so that is fun for the crabs. You need also provide some place for the crabs to hide, they like to burrow and they like to get under things. So, if you have something like a log this is hollowed out, this is a little coconut shell they will always go inside of it and hide and that is a fun more activity. I guess it is called crab hide and seek.
This is so stupid and sick. Real hermit crab owners know she is a FAKE.
she is an expert. an expert hermit crab killer. when she is talking, put your fingers in your ear, you will be smarter for it.
Driftwood is highly recommended, because it can help them get more color in their exoskeletons when they molt. When hermit crabs molt, make sure you separate them. However, it can get moldy, so you have to keep checking it. Mold can hurt hermit crabs a great deal. If this happens, remove it, and get more.
when land hermit crabs are molting, is the only time you can't mist and bathe them?
