Making Books for Children

Hi, I am Debbie with ExpertVillage.com and we are talking about cultivating a love of reading in young children and how you can create that love. One of the ways is creating child-generated books. Now a lot of times your kids are going to come home from school, if they are in school, with books that they have made at school. Create a little book box for you child to keep those books in, these are magazine holders, they are just cardboard and you can just put them together. You could use a cereal box even and just cut one side off of it but it is a neat little way to store books that your child has made himself. There are a lot of neat little books out there and these are books that might be generated at school, color books, letter books, rhyming books that they color themselves that are wonderful to keep there. They are on their reading level; they are at their hands at all times not to mention that they are really proud that they have created their own books. Another great way is to have some paper stapled together and let them create their own books and let them recreate some of their favorite books. Any variety of ways that you can cultivate that love of reading by providing a place for your child to put the books that they have made themselves.
