How to Get the Pinky Break for Magic Card Tricks

I am Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of Expert Village.com I am going to show you some more on card tricks. Right now I am going to show you how to get that break we were talking about earlier. What you do is you would have someone select a card, just say 6 of spades. What one do you want to get into position where you actually have the finger break on top of their card. An easy way to do this is you just stick your card into the deck, start to push it in instead of pushing it in square like you normally would, what you are going to do is: you’re going to push in with the corner first. It is going to look like this from the top, but I come over here and show you, say from the bottom, if you push in this way it is going to tilt the card out, that is 6 out here on the side. When you push it in, what you can do is use your pinky, either to go under it and get a break under it or pull down and get a break above it. That is the easiest way to get a break. Go through that one more time, take their card, slide it in, push in on the left hand side first, so it is going to push it out; and use your pinky to either go on top to get a break or go on bottom to get a break, like so. Just square up the deck, make sure everything is squared, you got yourself a break.
