Now we're going to talk about the same shot with the top spin except for a backhand. Obviously, it's a little bit different. Your forehand your wrists will roll over whereas the backhand, your wrists will flop the opposite way so that your palm is up. So that your backhand will come through, you'll make contact with the ball with the flat motion and then you're coming up with your paddle on the follow through again and you're just letting it flow over. But like I said, instead of closing your wrist down with the forehand, you're opening your palm up. That's what you want to feel at the very end of your stroke. So that when you're hitting the ball, your paddle is hitting it flat and it's flopping over at the very end. And finishing off higher than your normal arc. Your normal arc should be right in here. With the top spin, you're coming up with the follow through so that it ends up higher and that thereby will put some spin, some over spin on the ball, bringing the ball down onto the table.
