Ok, so lets talk about the materials that we need to get a fire started. Obviously, if we are on our own property, if we are at home, we've got access to all different sorts of things. One of the things that you don't want to use to help you start the fire are things like gasoline, oil, starter fluid. People come up with all kinds of things they think its neat and funny. No charcoal, lighter fluid. You don't need any of that if you are going to pick the proper wood and mixture of types of ingredients that we're going to be putting in. So what we, what I like to use, is number one if you are living at home and you happen to have a shredder, this stuff works great; shredded paper. If you don't have shredded paper, some of you might have a newspaper, fliers. You can actually just tear these up into small pieces by hand if you don't have an automatic shredder to do that for you. But, paper is going to be one of your best uses for helping get that fire started. Another thing you might want to consider using is dried grass if you have access to that. We went out in the field around here and picked up some dried grass, this time of year there's lots of dried things around because its fall. And so you've got your choice of paper, dried grass or you could even go to the store and get yourself some starter logs that are actually meant for helping you start a fire. So those are your choices. Shredded paper, grass, plain paper that you shred up or fire starter logs.
