Pressure right up in there is nice, so use your thumbs. You brace and lock your thumbs, and what you're doing is separating the muscle fibers. You're relieving, and you're stretching, and also letting the product diffuse into the system. It's going to moisturize, and keep all of the work you've done with the filing. It's going to penetrate and relieve all the dryness. When you give a foot massage, you don't really want to use oil. You want a little bit of pressure, rather than gliding. If it's too slippery, it makes it slippery for them when they start to walk. It takes a while for that oil to dry up, and you really want pressure more than glide because the foot has so many intricate parts to it. Every organ in the body is connected to the foot, so if you're hurting somewhere else, you'll feel it in your feet.
