How to Play a Single String Melody on the Fiddle

Hi I'm David Kaynor on behalf of expertvillage.com. You can visit my website at www.davidkaynor.com; learn more about me and what do I do. I'm going to talk about playing the fiddle with the focus on playing the melody on a single string or on one string at a time. It is the easiest way to present the melody clearly. You can simply play a melody and nothing else. It is quiet pretty, I'm going to play an Abolition tune called Waynesboro, which many Irish musician recognize as an older tune from Ireland called Over the Moor to Maggie with only 2 parts, and I'm going to do all of these on a single string.
