How to Perform Microdermabrasion around the Eyes

Hi, I am Lillian with Salon of Scottsdale and on behalf of ExpertVillage.com; I am going to show you the final step in doing a Microdermabrasion treatment. The final step is usually done around the eye level; the reason is because we have to lower the vacuum because the eye area is more sensitive because the skin is thinner. A lot of people wonder what the feeling is like on the skin – does it hurt? Does it feel like a massage? Well a lot of people say that it feels like a fine sandpaper running across your face. I would like to ask my client what he feels. It feels like sandpaper or a slightly rough pencil eraser. That is a good explanation. We are going to turn on the machine, lower the vacuum setting and on this area we are going to lower it and the reason that we do it close to the eye is because as you age you get crow’s feet around the eye area. So you are going to want to move the wand slower and again the vacuum is at a lower level, so he is not going to feel quite the scratching that he has been feeling. Just multiple passes around the fine lines, you will probably need six to eight treatments before you see a good difference around the crow’s feet area.
