Holding Your Frame in Night Club Salsa Dancing

On behalf of Expert Village my name is Talia Castro-Pozo and I am Jules Helm. We are here in New York City at stepping out studios teaching you Nightclub Salsa. So the next thing we are going to talk about is frame and we are going to take the basic and start rotating it. So as a leader you are going to take, there are several different hand holds. We are going to start off just with one. Nice and casual. We don't want to look too formal. It's down into the earth a little more. A little more relaxed and laid back. So we are here and we are going to take now and we want to take keep that tone in frame. So it's not spagetti arms but it's not stiff either. Just a nice firm frame and we are going to take you down back into the basics. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Now we are going to take this and now we are going to do what's called the turning basic. So most leaders are watching their left hand. You start to just gentley rotate to the left. Or if you are looking top down we are coming at it counter clockwise. Followers, make sure you stay to your partners right side. Yeah, so we are not directly facing each other for a rough center. That way we avoid stepping on each others feet.
