How to Use a Mixer for Podcasting

Hi everybody how you doing? I'm James Donnelly for expertvillage and today we're going to talk to you about audio podcasting. We just talked about the microphone and the other thing is the mixer. You can pick up a mixer, this one is about a hundred bucks a hundred twenty bucks. Local music store, go to Radio Shack, or online you can buy them used, ebay or whatever but the other important thing is your levels here. You want your levels to be not in the red because if it's in the red then it's going to be distorted and loud and you don't want that because you want it to sound crisp and clean. So, microphone is connected to the first channel and your master.
