How to Cut Green Beans

Hi my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to show you how to make a entire Thanksgiving meal. The first thing we want to do to prepare our green beans for our green bean dish is to take our fresh green beans and you see these top stems here these stems are inedible so we are going to go ahead a remove them. A lot of times in the grocery store you can find green beans or Haricots Verts, also known as French green beans with the stems already removed and that is all you have to do to remove those. Another little tip is if you line up all of your green beans with all the stems facing the same way on your cutting board it makes trimming them a lot easier and a lot faster.
