Crushing Corn Flakes for Whipped Sweet Potatoes

Hi my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to show you how to make a entire Thanksgiving meal. For our crust the sweet potatoes you are going to need your cornflakes you are going to need 1 1/2 cups of fresh cornflakes. So in order to do this you just take regular cornflakes and we are going to put them into a baggy here. Go ahead and close the baggy and with my rolling pin I'm just going to roll over them. This is a really quick and easy way to make crush cornflakes, crush cornflakes are really great you can use them for coating for like chicken you can use them for all kinds of things. So keep that in mind. On your crushed cornflakes you want to make sure that the consistency still has some texture to it, you don't want it to be a ground product, you don't want it to be very powdery. You want to have some bits and pieces cornflakes cause that is really going to help with your consistency.
