Hi my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to show you how to make a entire Thanksgiving meal. To roast our garlic for the roasted garlic mashed potatoes we are going to make first off you start off with a head of garlic and I'm just going to cut off the very top right here. So it exposes all the cloves just like so. Next I'm going to place it into a sheet of aluminum foil and I'm going to drizzle a little bit of olive oil on top of it. And I'm just going to make a little package out of it. I want to let a little bit of the air ventilate but not all of it and I'm going to keep it cover so it stays nice and soft. I'm going to place this in a 350 degree oven and let it roast for about 30-45 minutes or until it is really soft and that is how you roast garlic.
