Hi, my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas. On behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to show you how to make an entire Thanksgiving meal. To determine the size of the turkey that you'll need first you'll need to determine how many guests you're going to have. Once you figure how many guests you're going to have you can figure one pound to one and a half pounds per person and that will give you ample leftovers. Now keep in mind you can also make sure that you buy two medium sized turkeys instead of one large turkey and that will really help in cook time as well as presentation. You can have a full turkey on your dinner table while you carve another turkey. This turkey is about ten pounds so it will feed about 7-10 people. One other thing you want to consider is if you want a fresh or a frozen turkey. Keep in mind a frozen turkey will take longer to thaw while the fresh turkey is ready to cook. You might want to consider ordering your fresh turkey because a lot of times they do sell out.
