Hello, I'm Robert Cheeke, president of Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness based here in Portland, Oregon. And today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to do a tutorial all about being vegan. In this clip, I'm going to talk about finding vegan resources. And that's important because you want to network with like-minded people. You want to find out where the restaurants are, you want to find out where the meet-ups and potlucks are, you want to find out where you can shop in your own community. I happened to live in Portland, Oregon the most vegan friendly city in America, and I'm at Foodfight Grocery that has a whole bunch of these resources. They have books, they have community listings, and calendars. There's website out there with all this information as well, happycow.net, vegan.com, all of these different resources that are available for everyone to meet whatever interests or needs that you might have. Whether you want to find vegan recipes or find out about a local group that you can meet up with in person. You can just search for it online and get connected with your community. Once you find a great resource such as a store like this, this is an all vegan store, you find things that are all available here like books and documentaries. This happens to be a documentary that I filmed a couple of years ago, Vegan Fitness: Built Naturally. It basically highlights the lives of three successful vegan athletes. So this is actually really motivating and inspiring to people. And what you can do with this resource is to give them to people who aren't vegan. Isn't that one of our goals too is to increase the number of vegans and reduce the overall cruelty on the planet? Basically once you find these resources, get in touch and get connected.
