Shows & Venues: How to Make a Press Kit

Another important element to be included in your press kit is a list of shows that you have played in the past. This includes a list of different venues you have played at, clubs, concerts, school events, private parties, anything to let the reader know what you have done and what your experience entails. The list of shows should be specific to the group. If you are in a band, only include the list of shows that your group has done. If you are doing an individual press kit do all the shows and things that you have done. An example in the press kit by "Nutshell": They had no previous shows before this, but we put a list of upcoming shows on the side to let people know where they will be playing so they can check them out if they are looking to have them signed to a label or get them gigs at a bigger venue. Another element in a press kit, which is crucial, is a discography. A discography is a list of all the different albums someone has produced. Going back to my friend Taylor, this is a discography of all the different albums that he has completed.
