Another key component to a press kit is including any press or material that people have written about you or your band. This is a great way to let people, who are thinking about hiring you, understand what you have done, and get reviews from you from the community. Press can include a variety of different things. It can include newspaper clippings, online advertisements, print out of radio commercials, and television commercial links on websites, web link connections and anything that has been done in the press to promote your band. For example, Taylor Excide (Jazz Pianist) has an article written about him by National Public Radio. This is a perfect example of something that could be included in the press kit, in order to promote him as an artist. Another important element of a press kit is to include things that highlight your accomplishments. For example, in a biography (that I wrote about myself) you could talk about things such as accomplishments you have gone through. For example, I premiered a Vermont Composers Piece and also competed to the finals of the Vermont String Quartet competition. These are things that could be included in bios, or just set separately aside to be put into press kits.
