Private vs. Commercial Pilots

Hi, I’m Mike Camelin with SunState Aviation Flight School in Kissimmee, Florida for Expert Village. In this segment we’re going to talk a little bit about what it takes to go from the Private Pilot License all the way up to become a Commercial Pilot. You know what most people fail to realize is that white haired gentleman sitting in the front office of a 747, started out like any other student pilot. In the front office of a small Cessna trainer, then they work their way up, they added ratings and more certificates to their license and then probably eventually became a flight instructor teaching other how to fly so that they can build more hours. The bottom line is they need those hours and they need that experience to make sure that they qualify to fly the big jets.
