Checking Coolant Levels When Repairing a Car Heater Core Hose

Hello my name is Mark Blocker with Expert Village. In this section we will cover what to look for. When checking your coolant system there is always basic things that need to be checked. First check the level of your coolant. Remove the radiator cap and visually look in the system. Prior to removing your radiator cap you need to remember that these systems are under pressure. So if your vehicle has been run recently or is hot you may want to wait until the vehicle cools down before performing these tests or doing any diagnostics. Most vehicles are equated with a main cap on the radiator r, an overflow tube to an overflow coolant bottle. The coolant bottle is generally check first, it should have a line given somewhere on the bottle that will show you where the operating range should be. Remove the cap my unscrewing or unsnapping and visually look or the presence of your antifreeze. You can check my looking on the side of the bottle to determine if it has the proper level. Ok so watch our next segment on what to look for part two.
