Airplanes Used for Flight Instruction
Hi, I’m Mike Camelin with SunState Aviation and today for Expert Village we’re going to be talking about the types of airplanes that students use to learn how to fly. Now here at SunState we’re Cessna of Pilot Center, so most of the airplanes we use are the Cessna 172 models. These are high wing airplanes and the reason why that these airplanes are so good for training is because of the high wing configuration. Their stability is much better than a low wing airplane and they are also little lower in horse power, so they’re a little more docile than a lot of the more high performance aircraft that you would step up to after you get your Private Pilot License.
