Now, these scales that you play, not only help the instruments talk to one another and understand where everyone is, they let the soloists, meaning the person who is stepping out in front of the orchestra or the band, to make sense of what they're playing as they're soloing, depending on what the orchestra has chosen to play. So, we're going to try a couple more scales, and when you learn all your scales, you will learn how to make sense of what you're playing in relation to the rest of the orchestra.
