How to Play the C Major Scale on the Tuba

Hello again, now that we've made sounds on our tuba, we're going to play some scales and what scales are, kids, are basically a series of notes that are in a family. And this family of notes all go together. And there are several families of notes as you can see. There are several different keys and the keys are like keys to doors, they open up whole different kinds of music when you're playing in the orchestra. Playing in different keys and scales helps all the instruments know what to play and when to play it, together. Kevin is going to play one of the basic scales right now, the "C Major" scale. (And down) Now as you hear, Kevin started on the lowest note, played an 8 note scale, and then played an octave which is the next highest series of notes in that same scale. What Kevin just played was a two octave, C Major Scale. Next Kevin will play the "C Minor" scale.
