How to Draw a Teddy Bear for Beginners: Part 7
Hi! My name is Peggy Robertson and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to show you how to draw the teddy bear, part 7. In this last clip, you are going to see more use of shadows; we are darkening in the nose. I have switched to a darker pen. I am going to be using short lines again. To use the shadow to emphasize the shape, put a little bit around the eye, always following the shape of the head; this shadow gives it a little more, just pull out the bottom chin some, so you can actually see it, short lines. Basically I am going to be emphasizing the shape of the bear by using shadows. Contrast to the shadows will show the shapes. You just darken the lines you want to show up. These little lines are called emphasize the roundness in between the hairs here to show up a little bit. Even though I am darkening, I am still following the lines. You could see how shadows actually make it become more three dimensional; little touch up on the eye up here and some darkness down on the bottom of the leg where it would be sitting on the table, under the arm. Always shadow under the chin and under the head. Let’s just fill in a little bit more shadow here to define this leg, do these little highlight lines and a little bit more fuzziness with the lines over the hair and there we are done, a teddy bear.
