How to Draw a Teddy Bear for Beginners: Part 3
Hi! My name is Peggy Robertson and on behalf of Expert Village.com, in this clip I am going to show you how to draw the teddy bear, part 3. Okay we are starting now with shaping the mouth using a darker pencil to pick out the lines that I like and make the nose a little bigger. Then I am working on the eyes; teddy bear eyes are roundish at the top and kind of flat at the bottom and we’ll just see. I draw the line across the face like this, like a bridge, to get little line for the eyes. That one had I just tipped a little bit wrong, lean it back into the head a little bit more, there we go, now I am working on this eye. Okay, now we are going to take a darker line and outline. I am going to outline the lower side on the ovals for the arm and the foot and I am going to use a darker pencil for darker lines. These are the lines that I want to keep, then I just clean up the lines I don’t want, make it little neater. I am going to work a little bit on this arm, this oval here just doesn’t seem to be right, it is not the length of the arm and it is at a wrong angle, so I am going to try and find an oval that meets the right angle that I want. Okay, let’s just keep drawing and if you don’t like it, erase it and do it again. This one looks a little bit better from what I am thinking I want to see. I clean it up in there and I am darkening up the mouth giving it a little more depth. These are the lines that I like and it actually is giving a more definite shape to the mouth. Now I am erasing some of these extra lines to clean up the drawing a little bit there. Now I am going to, let’s shape that ear a little bit better, here we go, that gives it a three-dimensional feel. Now with the darker pencil, I am going to give it a more fuzzy look; short little strokes, just like hair here we go.
