How to Make a Corsage: Part Two
Hi! I am Amelia Tallman, and on behalf of Expert Village.com we are continuing building this corsage. In the last steps we added the base flowers, and now we are adding some filler flowers. I have already wired and taped these filler flowers, some of which I have wired and taped together. You can create your own clustering of flowers, in a way that you think suits you best, with wire and tape, as I have here. So I am going to use these as the uppermost piece in this corsage, and I am going to kind of slide them in back behind in the upper rows and hold them against the back. Since I have them where I want them, I am going to kind of wrap the wire a little bit down there, and I am going to use a few of the bigger ones down here at the base to bring the yellow to both sides of the corsage. I just kind of want to wrap this to go with that wire. You always want to think about how it’s going to rest against you when you are done, so periodically, hold it up and check it out to see what it looks like. To your flowers on there, you are going to add the bow that we tied earlier, and you want the bow to kind of sit at the base of the corsage. So in this, I am going to try and tuck it up right against the bottom of that rose; and again grab the wire on there, so that you can use it to your advantage. There is quite a bit of wire on this bow, and you can kind of use it to help anchor the rest of the flowers. I am going to turn it over now; this is the back side. Grab these two pieces of wire. If you can hold it with one hand, you can use your pliers again and twist these two pieces of wire tightly; it’s kind of an extra cinch in your construction here, because really it’s a piece of construction, it’s got to hold up somebody running around, moving all around underneath it.
