Hi everybody, Kevin Smith here, tuba love. I just want to talk for a minute on how to keep your tuba safe when you?re not using it. Which is a lot of times so, and it's a big instrument as I've already said. Since it's big it's prone to dents, nicks what have you and you leave it lying around it's going to enhance the likelihood that somebody's going to run into it or kick it or what have you. So that's why I certainly advocate a tuba case of some kind. As I shown earlier I have this tuba case here. Now this is called the hard case and it's a real kind of interesting design because it's specifically indented for the exact shape of the instrument and it's lined with felt plus it's got a spot there for my mouth piece and all my buffing clothes etc. but most importantly for this purpose it's a place where I can put the instrument and it fits right in and I don't have to worry about it when I'm not using it. So it goes right there and I can just sit it up, okay. There are also carrying cases, softer cases. I've seen some people while they play and I'm not even sure if this tuba has the capability to do it because I don't like doing it. Although it does.
