The Trombone Mouthpiece: Parts of the Trombone

Hi, we'll since we've just familiarized yourself with some of the basic ideas of the trombone we can take it apart. Now, more specifically we have the mouthpiece. It's bowl shaped and generally in modern trombones they're interchangeable into any instrument. There's a standardized bore size and they slip right in like this and a snug little twist and you're ready to go with your mouthpiece. They come in a variety of different diameters. The edge and the bell part depending on the player, the experience level, and well you know what shoot you can find out there. This one you can see has a name and a size 12 C which is measuring the diameter of the cup and the depth of the cup. The rim and the cup basically is the mouthpiece.
