Hi my name is Uchendah Alete, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, in this clip we will be going over how to double steam. Okay so here we are going to double steam. When you are double steaming, it usually means you are steaming two different items at the same time. Here we have chicken and eggs. Now these two are not going to have any problem with each other because the eggs don’t really give out any kind of flavor on the shelves. That is why we double steamed these together. If this was spaghetti and this was fish, you might have a little bit of problem, because your spaghetti will taste a little bit fishy and you probably don’t want that outcome. Let’s double steam. Okay, so make sure you have some water in the steam pot. Now we are going to add the first one, which will be the larger strainer—just the chicken—and we are going to put some spices on there, and then we are going to add the eggs, and then add the top. So we are back, and it has been about 15 minutes so the eggs are definitely done. We’ve got to get those out. Now the chicken normally takes around 25 minutes. You slice some holes in the chicken. It is almost done. You just have to wait 10 more minutes. You flip it over, and then you put the lid back on. We are back, and the chicken should be done, and that is double steaming.
