How to Maintain Paintball Clothing

Hello this is Rob Rubin and you are watching Expert Village. While you are doing gear checks you also want to do clothing checks too. When I say clothing check I mean that you are just going to be looking through your stuff that you wear and see what is worn out and what is still playable. For example, these gloves. I bought these the beginning of the season and there is a hole in the back of the hand. It does not seem very major until you realize that when I do my slides I end up sliding on this part of my hand because I always throw my hand out. So these gloves are pretty much worn so these are pretty much garbage, I hate to say. And there are a couple of other things that you can check to see if they need to be repaired too. I'll give you a hint, this is not a sleeve, it is supposed to be a side pocket on a pair of pants. If you are handy with a needle and thread you can actually rescue clothes like this. There are some amazing things you can do, or if you have access to a sewing machine you can repair this kind of stuff. Now there comes a point of no return where you can just look at your pants or you can look at your jerseys and say maybe it's time to replace this. That's kind of a judgment call and is up to you but you really want to check your gear because the last thing you want to do is find you have a hole in your pocket and there is absolutely nothing you can do to save it.
