Using Scissors when Grooming a Shaggy-Haired Dog

Always what you want to scissor is what you can see the table through or whatever your background is. I can see the table through this hair that I am cutting. I do this just because I’ve done it so long like this but what you should do is turn it sideways and see that hair, can you see the background. That is what you want to cut. Don’t go fast until you like I said know your equipment and then on the little feet, come on back this way and go straight across and then on the edges of the toes. Like that. That way you will know where to go in the front. That way you can do that without cutting because if you do the front first you don’t know where his foot is. So you do the back first and then you can also get real good and brush those little things there and get every little hair out. Don’t scissor hard. Just do it light because if you catch his toe in there like that and you are not doing it hard you’re not going to cut him. But if you go like that then you can. Like I said and I’ll repeat it, when you are learning how you don’t cut them.
