Egyptian Belly Dancing : Step Touch
Hi! My name is Sahira and I’m here on behalf of Expert Village to give you a little bit information about belly dancing. The next movement I’m going to show you is the step touch, there are probably a hundred different variations of this movement, but it’s a very common belly dance move. So we’ll begin with the right, we’ll step on the right foot, touch with the left foot, often times there will be an accompanying hip lift, so you’ll use your obliques to pull up and lift when you touch with that left foot, set the left foot down, so you step on the left, touch on the right, step on the right, touch on the left, you can touch in front here as I’m doing with this particular variation, you can touch on the side for a hip lift on the side or you can even touch in the back for another variation, it’s still a step touch, step touch, very common arm movements to go with this are matching arms, your down arms matches your active hip and the other arm pulls up next to your head, step, touch, step, touch.
