Homemade Donut Recipe Ingredients
Hi, I'm Rachel for Expert Village, let's go now over the ingredients of the traditional donuts. First we're going to use 2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of dry yeast, a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of wine, 2 egg yolks, 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, a bowl (big bowl) a spoon, rolling pin, plastic bag or a towel, (which you use) a big glass for shaping a little one, 2 baking sheets, a tray to put ready donuts in. Later on after the donuts are ready we're going to use the powder sugar for decoration and the jelly we'll use both before it's cooked and at the end with the ones we didn't put at the beginning. You'll need 3/4 cups of luke warm water, big pot for the frying, a pot that will contain about 2 quarts of oil, I prefer to do the frying with soy oil because it stands a higher temperature than other oils.
