Using the Moog Voyager Touchpad for Analog Synthesizers & Keyboards

My name is Dan Rapport. Today we are going to be talking about analog synthesizers. So one very unique feature of the mini Moog Voyager is the touch screen here, which works on an XY axis and it is pressure sensitive as opposed to how hard you push on it and it is also area sensitive is to how much area your hand has over the control of it. It is similar, I believe probably one of the first incorporate design like this was Korg with the Kaoss pad and this is sort of like a built-in Kaoss pad into the synthesizer and you can program this to do different things and right now I believe it is programed for the filter cut-off and resonance so you can hear an example of that. So here is the filter cutoff obviously that is a low filter cutoff and a high filter cutoff and then the more area I put on my hand, the more resonance we get. So it is a pretty unique feature and only this synth has it.
