The E Altered Scale in Jazz Music

Now we have our E altered scale which is a combination of a diminish scale going to whole scale. So you start with this whole step, half step, whole step pattern and then it goes to all whole steps. So you have whole step, half step, then whole step. So it is like we took a crunch out of the whole scale and put these 2 notes in there. Now it is funky chord and it use also in jazz as a minor 2,5 where you go from the 2 half diminish to the 5 altered to the 1 minor. Then you have your E altered.
