Ok so today we're going to take a very comprehensive look at all of the scales that we can derive using the root of E. We're going to go over first some melodic scales including the pentatonic and the blues. We're also going to go through some hexatonic scales, the harmonic miter scales, and the holtong scales. And then we're going to go through and analyze all of the modes of the major scale. We're going to start with Ionian which is the E major scale itself and then we're going to go through Fridenian, Dorian, Ionian, Lidium, Mixilidium, Aolian, and Locrian. The seven degrees of the major scale as you switch through a new scale is unraveled and we're going to look at all these scales individually and get all the basic information that we can from these scales. So I'm going to go through and show you on the keyboard real quick an E Ionian, Dorian, Fridian, Lidian, Mixallidian, Aolian, Locrian, and Ionian so we'll go through and discover all the scales and how they are used melodically and motiveacly.
