Caring for Your Dog During Shots

Hi my name is Sarah and my name is Haley and we are two of the technicians here at Extra Care Animal Hospital and on behalf of Expert Village.com, we are going to speak with you today a little bit about the care of your dog. Generally when your dog is being vaccinated in an exam and will be up on an exam table like this one. For larger dogs we do some times exam and vaccinate them on the ground. When you have your dog at the vet’s office, you should allow the staff to restrain your dog. Some dogs may get nervous and try to bite and would never intentionally bite you but if they are frightened and they are struggling, a bite can occur. When your dog is being examined just stay close to the table so that your dog knows that you are there but give the staff enough room to be able to do their job properly which is safely restrain your dog.
