Blues Musical Scales with Root of C: Part 1

So now we are going to go and do our blue scale which pulls in some harmonic notes. So now we have our 1 and instead of going into 2 it goes right to flat 3. So you have 1, flat 3 and you have 4 and then you have sharp 4 and then you have 5, flat 7 and then it goes back to 1. So you have these nice chromatic notes in here with some basics you have the 1, the 4, the 5 which are the roots to the blues progression 1,2,4,5 and then you have your B flat, your F sharp there and your flat 7. So you have your minor outline here your minor 3rd and your minor 7 with your tri tone which cuts the scale in half which is this F sharp here. So now we are going to look at it on the piano so here is your normal C major scale. Now the blues goes and you have these 3 chromatic notes in there again so 4,5, the easiest way to remember is you have the 3 chromatic notes and the minor 3rd and the minor 7.
