So I'm using my body a lot more and putting a lot more pressure on it then on the clay that I did when I made a small bowl. When I do this I want you to imagine that you are only wedging like that top part of the clay so this section maybe the top one third of the clay. The rest of this is just kind of getting folded and it is working the clay is working itself way to the fold but I don't have to wedge it like this. Where I'm just literally wedging the whole thing like ten whatever it is eight pounds. So instead I go to the top of the clay and just push there and my knee is literally bending, you are going back and forth using my hips and my whole body. This is lot more like a workout so once I think that I have done enough I can ease up on the pressure. Kind of looks like a conk shell when you are doing it right. When you are first learning though it is not going to look like this it is going to take on shape and it is going to look like this maybe about ten lessons. Kind of lighten up, you are going to start pulling the clay back on itself. Okay just rolling back and forth make the cone shape, hit it like that and it is already for the for the centering now.
