Hi! This is Richard Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make a Rotisserie Chicken. So we are back. Rotisserie chicken, we are going to need a chicken. This is a 6 1/2 pound chicken. My rotisserie will hold up to a 20 lb. chicken or turkey. So the first I do is get a chicken and make sure it is not gray in color. Check your date. This one says October 15th and with today being the 6th, I think I am okay. A week before the due date but that doesn't mean. Always check it. If you open it up and it looks gray in color and smells bad, it ain't going to be good. So that is what you want to do. Just going to cut it out of here and show it to you and see how it smells and looks. It is nice and yellow. Again, I am going to try and remember not to touch anything except what is in the sink before I wash my hand. Nice color. No smell at all, smells great. With these types of chickens you are going to have to take out the gizzard and stuff. Actually they do it for you; it's in a bag. If you want to save that for cooking some other things you can. I use it sometimes just to flavor up food. So that is your chicken. When I come back, I will show you how to clean it and season it.
