Okay, so we looked at C major and G major scales. And we noticed that for those, there are, is a movable pattern that works. So let's start with E major. Start with open E. A whole step from there is F sharp, a whole step from there is G sharp. Notice that we don't say a whole step from E is G flat. Because, you want to get that next letter in there and add something to it, if we have to. So E and then F, E and then F Sharp, G sharp, whole step. Half step to A, whole step to B, whole step to C sharp, whole step to D sharp, E. E, F sharp, G sharp, A, B, C sharp, D sharp, E. The same pattern works for the A string. Because once again dealing with an open string and we're dealing with the same pattern of whole steps and half steps. A to B, whole step, B to C sharp, whole step. C sharp to D, half step. D to E, whole step. E to F sharp, whole step. F sharp to G sharp, whole step. G sharp to A half step. So get used to playing your E major and A major open tile major scales.
