Evaluating the Toy Center at a Day Care

Hello! My name is Cindy Glover and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to talk about the manipulative center. The manipulative center as some centers call it “table toy” is a center where children can sit at a table with a game or a specific small motor activity such as small legos, open ended toys, snap blocks, number games and in this center, children are working and building their fine motor skills and also eye-hand coordination and problem solving skills. The manipulative center is another popular center with children. They welcome the challenge of completing a puzzle or completing a structure that they are in process of building that they may have not been able to do the day before and this center also shows a lot of self-accomplishment.
