Mary Had a Little Lamb: Bass Guitar Basics
Okay well now that we know some note on our A string and E string we can play the melody to Mary Had a Little Lamb in the key of major. We are going to start though on our open A and play A, the G the G on the E string, F, G,A,A,A, now that last A would be a half note so it is a quarter note, quarter note, half note, to G,G, that last G is also a half note and A,C,C is a half note at the end, and A,G,F,G,A,A,A, 4 quarter notes then G,G,A,G,F. So your notes in this one is F,G,A,C,A,G,F. Not to many notes to deal with, the important thing is plunking the correct string. So start when you play this just by using your first finger on your right hand but once you get comfortable with your left hand fingering here try to alternate the notes all the time. A,G,F,G,A,A,A that is a half note,G,G,G that is a half note, G,G that is a half note,A,C, like that okay. Now you would be able to play Mary Had a Little Lamb.
