How to Pluck Bass Guitar Strings
There are a variety of ways in which we can make our strings ring. Pluck our strings, we are going to use our right hand if we are right hand otherwise. There is a couple of ways of plucking for these lessons we would be using our first and second finger. You might want to rest your thumb for this on a pick up. If your pick up doesn't not extend this high or inside the body possibly the top of a pick guard or just somewhere on the body where you can feel comfortable it your guitar has thumb rest. This way we move our first and second finger over. Let's start playing the E string this is the low E string. We are going to use one, two, one, two. WE also have the option later on in using our thumb or using a pick such as we woudl a guitar. The pick does give it a clicking type of sound which is desirable for certain desire music but for our lesson we would be using our first and second fingers which are more angle. So try to position your thumb where it is more comfortable to use your first and second finger to pluck our strings.
